Suzuki Association of the Americas Piano Unit 3 Class

About the class: This class will cover the objectives of the Suzuki Book 3 repertoire.  It will include musical, technical, and pedagogical study,  as well as discussion on reading, group and performance opportunities to support the developing pianist.  It is the goal of the class to give teachers the information and tools to teach Suzuki Book 3 and to create a community of teachers that can research together. There are 5 classes of 15 hours each.  Since this is a small group class, teachers should be prepared to play the Unit 3 repertoire at every class. Eight hours of observation of studio lessons are also part of the class. Written observations and discussion of these lessons are part of the class.  Therefore the observations need to completed by February 15 which is the last class. A schedule of the student lessons for observation will be given out at the first class.  Information on the  prerequisites for this class is on the Suzuki Association of the Americas website.
